Entry #10 "It's gonna be Legen...wait for it...dary!"
Hey Y'all!
The title of this blog is an important one to me. It comes from a show I just recently finished watching, which is now one of my favorite shows of all time.
This show had lots and lots of fans from beginning to start. It's emotional, but not too emotional, it's weird, but okay enough for most to continue watching, it's funny, but....well, it's cheesy. What can I say?
From the friendships, to the bar nights (which is most nights), to the corny jokes, to the telepathically speaking, it had so much going on that you either loved it, or you hated it. This goes, more than anything, for the ending.
How I Met Your Mother ran for nine seasons, capturing the lives of five adults in Manhattan as the years go on. Ted's character is voicing the extremely long story of how he met the mother of his kids, as he is telling them this exciting story. But even though the show was beloved by many, the ending had many angered. It became controversial and fans either completely loved the ending or were so let down that they hated it. For some, the fact that the story was building and building only for the ending to be repetitive and simple was too much. Others loved how they alluded to the first season of the show in the very last scene. In my opinion, it comes down, in large part, to how you feel about one specific character.
I won't spoil the end, just in case anyone may watch it in the future, but HIMYM Ending will explain to those of you who are curious but don't want to watch it or those who have watched and somehow forgotten. This is a show I would 100% recommend, without question, even though it may, admittedly, be too corny for some of you to handle. I hope you'll check it out! If you have an opinion about the ending, or have questions, please leave some comments!
Signing off,
Zila
